Training and Support

Prior to your becoming an agent with Alico, you will have the opportunity to participate to an introductory training program that covers the company presentation, basics of life insurance, company products, sales process and career opportunities.

 

Following this introduction, you will have to pass a knowledge test so as to start an intensive preparation program. In the first 2 weeks, your learning path will combine theory with practice, both in-house and in the field. At the beginning, your direct manager will assist you in the field on at least 5 appointments with prospective clients.

 

Then you will receive additional training so as to develop your skills in areas like: prospecting, approaching prospective clients, creating a good first impression, identifying insurance needs, designing and presenting the solutions, handling clients� objections, closing the sale, developing your prospects base through referrals, servicing your clients.

 

Your insurance knowledge will increase by participating at sessions on topics like: underwriting, life insurance policy mechanism, group products, insurance legislation.

 

As an agent you will receive continuous training so as to refresh and improve your skills and you will also benefit from various best practice sharing opportunities with your colleagues from all-over the country.

 

Providing that you demonstrate success as an agent, a management career may be at your choice. In this case, the training program will support you to develop your skills in recruiting, selecting, field training, supervising and motivating your agents.

 

Following the initial stage, the training program will continue over the years so as to support the ongoing development of your management competencies.
